Orlando Radio: CCM+E Shuffles Formats On FM

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Orlando announced today the launch of  104.5 The Beat Otown’s Hip Hop and R&B.  The new station launched today on translator W283AMand will also be carried on WTKS-HD2 and iHeartRadio.

104.5 The Beat will feature urban music programming from today's biggest artists including Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, Rick Ross, Rihanna, J. Cole and more. 104.5

The Beat will be commercial free until Monday, February 24, 2014, when its new morning show, The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God will debut from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The move comes the day after CBS Radio/Orlando flipped its WJHM JAMZ 102 to Top40 AMP FM, CCM+E/Orlando has shuffled formats and frequencies to fill the hole vacated by JAMZ.

AMP-Radio is now challenging CCM+E's WXXL XL106, FM head-on for the Top 40 listeners.

To make room for The Beat on 104.5 FM, CCM+E relocated the FM simulcast of N/T WFLA 540 AM.

The Simulcast moved to Translator W273CA 102.5 FM and WMGF 107.7 FM HD3:

The Smooth Jazz WLOQ format that was on 102.5 FM is remains on WMGF 107.7 HD2 and online at iHeartRadio.
