DC Radio: Rick Gillette New PD At WRQX

Cumulus has announced the appointment of veteran radio program director, Rick Gillette as Corporate Program Director and Program Director of WRQX 107.3 FM in Washington, D.C.

Gillette was most recently with CBS as Program Director of NOW-FM in New York City. He takes the reins of All the Hits 107.3, effective immediately.

Current Program Director, Marco, remains with the station in afternoon drive.

Prior to programming for CBS in New York City, Gillette programmed for stations in Chicago and Detroit and was Vice President of Music Entertainment for DMX Music, a global music services company based in Los Angeles.

John Dickey, Cumulus Executive Vice President & Co-Chief Operating Officer, said: “Rick Gillette has programmed and won in the most competitive major markets in the country. Washington is a great challenge and opportunity for Cumulus and Rick as we evolve WRQX-FM’s brand. Rick has the experience to handle this challenge. His contribution in D.C. and our company will be significant.”
