MT Radio: Cherry Creek To Acquire 950 AM, 96.3 FM

The Montana Radio Co. is selling its KMTX 950 AM station, and starting Tuesday it will be found among the Cherry Creek stations in Helena, MT.

The simulcast signal of  K242BB 96.3 FM will also be joining the Cherry Creek Radio stations, according to The Independent Record.

“They needed one, we had one, so we sold it to them,” Angela Terry, the Montana Radio Co. manager, said on Tuesday.

950 AM (5Kw) Daytime Coverage Area
With the move of Nostalgia KMTX-AM to Cherry Creek Radio, its 1340 AM frequency will be retired, but its call letters, KCAP-AM, and N/T format will transfer to 950. The simulcast will also continue.

K242BB 96.3 FM (250watts) 60dBu Coverage
The new station will be known as "950 K-CAP -- your news and information station."
