DC Radio: Despite Drop WTOP Retains Top Spot

With improving seasonal weather, Hubbard's Newser WTOP 103.5 tooks a hit, but still sits atop the April PPMs ratings released Tuesday by Nielsen. Washuington's top news station dropped 9.1—7.9 (6+ AQH). However, competitor WAMU 88.5 FM was also off a bit. The American University N/T is #2 after a 7.2—7.1 wobble.

iHeartMedia's Top 40 WIHT 99.5 FM HOT moved upward 6.1—6.5 and claimed the #3 spot. Howard University's UrbanAC WHUR 96.3 FM was off 6.3-6.2 to end up at #4. And iHR's AC WASH 97.1 FM also dropped 5.6—5.3, but that was good enough to claim the #5 spot.
