Ariana Grande Caught On Video "I Hate America"

Pop star Ariana Grande appeared to lick unsold doughnuts on the counter during a late-night visit to Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore on Saturday, July 4, according to the shop’s owner.

The Press-Enterprise reports the 22-year-old singer appeared to be waiting until employees weren’t looking for her prank, said owner Joe Marin during a phone interview Tuesday. But a surveillance camera was taping the whole thing, he said.

Marin said he was horrified when he viewed the video, which he shared exclusively with the celebrity paparazzi website TMZ.

In the video, Marin said Grande and a male companion are seen giggling and talking in close proximity. Then, Grande appears to lick a white doughnut and the young man follows suit, he said.

Grande asked to see more doughnuts and when the employee walked to the back of the store to fetch another tray, the singer and her companion also spat on a doughnut, Marin said.

Fast-forward, and Grande is shown sniffing a doughnut on yet another tray that's been placed on the display case. Next up, a worker presents a tray of large pastries, and Grande — who apparently has been sheltered from maple bars and the like — goes off with a declaration of independence from high-calorie foods.

"What the ... is that?" she asks in disgust, and the tray is pulled away. "I hate Americans. I hate America. That's disgusting."

When contacted, Grande’s manager, Jen Merlino said – through giggles – she was just hearing of the incident and had no comment.

A former child actress, Grande was the breakout star of the Nickelodeon TV series “Victorious” and “Sam and Cat.” Her chart-topping singles include “Bang Bang” and “Problem.” She has been nominated for two Grammy awards and is currently working on her third studio album.

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato has officially replaced Ariana Grande as the headliner of this year's MLB All-Star Game concert, which will take place in Cincinnati. Grande had to pull out of the event because she had her wisdom teeth removed Monday, according to a statement released by the league, obtained by E! News.

Ariana Grande Wednesday issued a statement explaining and apologizing for a bizarre video that surfaced in which she declared "I hate America" at a donut shop.

Grande clarified that she is "EXTREMELY proud to be an American," and that her frustration with the country was aimed at its high child obesity rate -- which led to her cursing the unhealthy donuts.
