Subaru To Make HD Radios Standard

iBiquity Digital Corporation has announced that Subaru has made HD Radio receivers standard across all vehicles in the manufacturer’s lineup. HD Radio equipped cars are currently available at dealershipsacross the country.

“Subaru is a longstanding partner thathas consistently adopted the latest HD Radio features and expanded availability across their vehicle lines” said Jeff Jury, Chief Operating Officer of iBiquity Digital. “We’ve worked closely with Subaru for a number of years and are excited to see them take this important step to bring the latest in digital broadcast technology to all of their loyal customers.”

The move by Subaru adds to a growing list of auto brands and manufacturers who have made HD Radio receivers standard across all vehicles including Bentley, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Mini, Rolls Royce, Scion, Tesla and Volvo. All major auto manufacturers nowincorporate HD Radio receivers across more than 200 models of vehicles.

The HD Radio system is available across the U.S. and Mexico, with more than 2,300 digital stations converted, and over 1,700 HD2/HD3 digital only channels that broadcast fresh new content that can only be heard with an HD Radio receiver in a variety of formats that include Dance/Electronica, Bluegrass Country, Comedy, Local Music, Chill/Coffee Shop Music, South Asian, Talk, News, and Sports.
