Atlanta Radio: Jenn Hobby Exits WKHX-FM

Jenn Hobby
Jenn Hobby, best known for her decade-long stint on the Bert Show, has departed her mid-day hosting duties  at Country WKHX 101.5 FM.

Hobby, in a text Saturday to Rodney Ho at aj.com, confirmed the move. She stated she is going to take her time to “determine what will be the best next steps for our family.” She recently had her second daughter and her life “has shifted.”

Hobby joined the country station in 2012 soon after leaving the Bert Show. Both Kicks and Q100 are owned by the same company: Atlanta-based Cumulus.

Hobby's name has been attached to the recent exit of Bert Show cohost Jeff Dauler from WWWQ 99.7 FM.  He'll be hosting a new show on WSTR Star941 FM, which is expected to debut in February 2016.

Hobby and Dauler worked together at the Bert Show for ten years.

She said while she has received interest from other radio entities, she has no specific offers on the table. “I will continue to work at CW Atlanta for Falcons Playback and work in a freelance capacity with Atlanta Eats TV,” she added.

Kicks is now searching for a replacement.
