Westwood One Offers Coverage of the Paris Attacks

As developments in the Paris terror attacks continue to unfold, Westwood One News is providing affiliates comprehensive coverage and custom reports:
  • Westwood One News began special reports twice per hour immediately after the story broke and continued for over 24 hours through midnight Saturday night.
  • Westwood One News kept affiliates up to date via website, email, and voice cue channel advisories. Some affiliates in major markets took advantage of simulcasting CNN’s breaking news coverage, offered through Westwood One News.
  • Westwood One News correspondents Bob Costantini in Washington and Steve Kastenbaum in New York provided custom station reports on White House and domestic reaction in the immediate aftermath of the attacks on Friday. They were also live on Westwood One talk programs, including The Mark Levin Show, The Jim Bohannon Show, and The Larry Kudlow Show Friday and Saturday. Correspondent Jim Roope in Los Angeles reported on the death of American Nohemi Gonzalez, a student from California State University in Long Beach.
  • Erin McLaughlin in Paris did live station Q/A’s over the weekend and correspondent Karin Caifa reported live from Paris this morning on America in the Morning and for WWO Newscasts. Caifa also provided live custom reports for dozens of stations in morning drive. She will be reporting for the network and doing custom live appearances on affiliates in morning and afternoon drive all week.
