Denver Radio: Ross Kaminsky Gets Morning Show On KHOW

Ross Kaminsky
iHeartMedia/Denver has announced the addition of Ross Kaminsky Morning Show on Talk KHOW 630 AM.

He succeeds Many Connel, who has moved across the hallway to host mornings on KOA 850 AM. Prior to Connell, the KHOW morning show was hosted by the legendary Peter Boyles.

Connell has taken over KOA NewsRadio for the semi-retiring Mike Rosen who will continue to have a show on Saturday mornings.

Kaminsky considers Rosen as a mentor.  He told Westword.com that although Rosen has a different style he’s been a real mentor and teacher.

"Something I’ll forever be grateful to Mike Rosen for: When management changed at KOA a few years back, he went to the new program manager and asked him to give me a chance…and they gave me a chance. And I was at KOA filling in weekdays and on weekends ever since."

KHOW 630 AM (5 Kw, DA2)
Kaminsky, whose expertise outside of radio is in financial markets trading, had been looking for an opportunity to make radio his full-time job — but that "required being on a big-enough station, in a big-enough market," he says. But now Kaminsky, who just turned fifty, is not only a full-time host, but an employee for the first time in his life.
