GR Radio: Hot 1053 FM Adds Jackie Green For PM Drive

Jackie Green
WHTS 105.3 HOT FM has announced that Jackie Green will be joining its on-air staff as Host of Afternoons with Jackie Green. Green will be live and local on 105.3 HOT FM Monday through Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Her show will replace Afternoons with Kiki starting Monday, August 22, 2016.

Green is a Kalamazoo native and Ferris State University alumnus where she received her bachelor’s degree in communication while running cross-country and track and being active in the theatre program. Before coming to 105.3 HOT FM, Green worked as a reporter for the local FOX 17 Morning News Team for two years, where she was very involved with the community through station events. She has also had over four years experience on-air as a midday host on 97.9 WGRD.

Program Director for 105.3 HOT FM, Kevin (“Gravy”) Canup said: “When hiring a new afternoon personality, we wanted someone that was a big part of the community, friendly, talented, a team player and most of all, entertaining. Picking Jackie for the position was a no-brainer.”

Green caught the radio bug during her last year in college, while interning for a morning radio show. Outside of work, Green is still an avid runner, reader, actress, pageant competitor, wife and most recently a mother to her two-month-old daughter, Greenleigh.
