Bruno Mars to Headline 'We Can Survive' Concert

CBS RADIO today announced the fourth annual WE CAN SURVIVE concert, the star-laden event celebrating music with powerful performances by some of today’s hottest artists, all in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In his first concert since Super Bowl 50, Bruno Mars headlines WE CAN SURVIVE, along with appearances by Ariana Grande, Charlie Puth, G-Eazy, Meghan Trainor, OneRepublic and Pitbull on Saturday, Oct. 22, at the renowned Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. 97.1 AMP Radio’s morning show host Carson Daly shared the news with the station’s listeners today.

Since the concert’s inaugural debut in 2013, WE CAN SURVIVE has continued to sell out every year. In addition, the concert has generated more than 430 million social media impressions over the past two years, and it has become well-known for surprise artist appearances, like Rihanna in 2015 and Jennifer Lopez in 2014.

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for every ticket sold, $2 will benefit Young Survival Coalition, the premier organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second-most common cancer overall.

A new addition this year is the web video series, “Survivor Stories,” which will showcase some of the bravest faces of Young Survival Coalition and their experiences with breast cancer. The episodes will be hosted on WeCanSurvive.com

One lucky winner from across the country will receive tickets to the concert and the trip of a lifetime to Los Angeles, including airfare and hotel, through Radio.com’s VIP sweepstakes. In addition, 27 fans in participating markets can listen to Top 40 and Hot AC CBS RADIO stations for contest opportunities to win tickets to the show, airfare and hotel.
