NYC Radio: Charges Dropped Against WABC's Curtis Sliwa

Curtis Sliwa
Charges were dismissed Monday against 63-year-old 77WABC radio personality and Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa who was busted in front of Gracie Mansion trying to serve Mayor de Blasio with an election-related lawsuit in July.

Sliwa — who was represented in court by Reform Party mayoral candidate Sal Albanese — said the mayor and his staff handled it all wrong and that Hizzoner “had no problem” with the delivery until learning its source.

“When he found out it was Curtis Sliwa that's when he had a problem with it and he said no — arrest him," Sliwa said outside the courtroom, recalling the tussle outside the mayor's residence on July 25.

Sliwa's disorderly conduct summons was tossed after a brief proceeding before Judicial Hearing Officer Alfred Cooper.
