Atlanta Radio: Country WKHX Drops Music To Talk Massacre

Atlanta radio stations focused on the Las Vegas shooting Monday.

WSB-TV2's Wendy Corona visited country KHKX KICKS 101.5 where they said it was time to talk.

The Cadillac Jack and Ali Mac morning show was at its regularly scheduled time and that was the only thing regular about this morning.

Listeners called in to talk about the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Concert at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.

“And Ali Mac has been super good about saying, you know what, today is not the day. A lot of those topics are trending on Twitter right now, but let’s think about the families of those that lost their lives,” host Cadillac Jack told listeners.

Everyone Monday morning was trying to understand together why this kind of senseless act could happen at such a venue.

“We were at the sold-out Thomas Rhett concert at Verizon Amphitheater and not once did I think to myself, something like this could happen. And it can, it can happen. But don’t stop going to concerts because then they win, you know?” Jack told Corona.
