'CMA Country Christmas Ratings Surge For ABC

ABC’s annual telecast of “CMA Country Christmas” surged over its year-ago telecast by 19% in Total Viewers (8.2 million vs. 6.9 million) and by 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/4 vs. 1.0/3) to earn three-year highs on both measures, marking its best since Dec. 1, 2014, while simultaneously increasing 53% year-over-year in Facebook and Twitter interactions.

CMA’s two-hour holiday lead-in held strong through ABC’s final primetime hour (“The Good Doctor”), making ABC the most watched network of the night.

CMA closes out 2017 with all three of its annual ABC television properties reaching three-year ratings highs (“CMA Fest,” “The 51st Annual CMA Awards” and “CMA Country Christmas”).

“CMA Country Christmas” will re-air Saturday, Dec. 23 at 8/7c on the ABC Television Network. The eighth annual holiday music celebration is a production of the Country Music Association.
