Morning Joe's Mika Abruptly Ends Michael Wolff Segment

MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski on Thursday told Michael Wolff that his "slurring" of United State Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley over a rumored affair with President Trump was "disgraceful."

According to TheHill, Brzezinski then abruptly ended a morning show interview with the bestselling "Fire and Fury" author and sent "Morning Joe" to commercial.

Wolff hinted that Trump was having an affair in "Fire and Fury" and fanned the flames of rumors about Haley last Friday on Bill Maher's HBO show. Haley has denied the allegation.

Wolff said Thursday that he “found it puzzling that she [Haley] would deny something that she was not accused of," during his interview with co-hosts Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.

“You might be having a fun time playing a little game dancing around this, but you’re slurring a woman; it’s disgraceful,” Brzezinski said to Wolff.

“Mika, again, she has been accused of nothing. She has decided to deny something she was not accused of,” Wolff retorted. “Certainly I have not accused her of this.”

“Come on, are you kidding?” Brzezinski asked. “You’re on the set of 'Morning Joe,' we don’t BS here.”

After some heated crosstalk, Brzezinski ended the interview.

“If you don’t get what we’re talking about, I’m sorry, this is awkward, you’re here on the set with us, but we’re done,” Brzezinski declared. “Michael Wolff, thank you. We’re going to go to break now.”

Wolff has been taken to task in recent days by other journalists for the insinuation about Haley.

Wolff laterclaimed that MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were "eager to gossip" with him about who President Trump could be having an affair with, even though Brzezinski cut short his interview in disgust on Thursday when that issue came up.

Wolff, who was on "Morning Joe" Thursday, said in a tweet after the program, "The last time I was on Morning Joe off camera Joe and Mika eager to gossip about who Trump might be sleeping with."
